OUR FOUNDER

An accomplished educator, turned entrepreneur, Dr. Joshua Weinstein combined his educational and work background to create a unique school & center for autism. His vision and big heart led him to undertake this great challenge upon learning that children with autism can lead a better future when given the skills to do so. In 1998, Shema Kolainu - Hear Our Voices (SKHOV) was born. Dr. Weinstein founded the private, nonprofit school & center for autism one of the first schools for autism in the US.

With mournful hearts and in fond remembrance, we pay tribute to Dr. Joshua Weinstein's great leadership, innovative ideas, and vision of an all inclusive world. He blazed pathways of opportunity for the autism community and staunchly advocated for continued advances in supportive practices. We at SKHOV are committed to carry on his prodigious legacy.
