GYM & PHYSICAL EDUCATION

Gym is a great outlet, not only for activities, it's also a fun way to develop our core strength and to regulate sensory needs.

Physical education and gym activities are essential for all children. Movement allows participants to regulate their sensory needs, maintain better attention and focus and develop core strength. Children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders require multiple outlets and techniques to assist them with self-regulation and soothing. Physical activities are crucial to the success of both emotional and educational programing.

Children receive daily physical education/gym activities. Activities will include team sports, yoga, breathing exercises, strength training and balance activities. Clients will participate in these activities based on individual levels and are assessed regularly to evaluate progress.
