JEREMY
Classroom 203
Jeremy, an adorable 7-year-old boy with ASD, struggled to communicate when he was offered an item that he didn’t want. When given either a snack or toy that he didn’t like, Jeremy would cry and scratch his teachers and friends, as a form of communication. To help Jeremy express himself in a safe way, Jeremy was taught to press the “No” icon on his AAC device to let others know his preference. Now that he can communicate with others, Jeremy scratches less. Overall, he is much happier because Jeremy knows that he now has a voice. #wehearhisvoice
